Pasos para crear diagramas de flujo
Al crear un diagrama de flujo , invite a personas que tengan conocimiento del proceso a participar en la discusión. A muchos equipos les resulta fácil dibujar un diagrama de flujo en una pizarra o usar software de diagramas de flujo y proyectar el diagrama en la pared con un proyector. Esto le permite mover los pasos y agregar pasos a medida que define el proceso.

Reglas para crear diagramas de flujo
- Los diagramas de flujo solo pueden tener un símbolo de inicio y uno de parada

Cuando tiene un diagrama de flujo grande y puede resultarle difícil encajar en una sola página, o si desea dividir el problema en dos diagramas de flujo relacionados lógicamente que son en sí mismos un diagrama de flujo separado, entonces puede hacer uso de las conexiones en la página/off -página de conexiones.
- Los conectores en la página usan las letras dentro de los círculos para indicar la ubicación de los conectores adyacentes. Un «1» se conecta a un «1», un «2» se conecta a un «2», etc.
- Los conectores fuera de página utilizan el número de página donde se encuentra la parte siguiente o anterior del diagrama de flujo. Los conectores en la página y fuera de la página tienen una entrada o una salida.
